Kevin PoulterKevin Poulter is an Employment Lawyer and partner in the London office of Freeths LLP, advising businesses and senior employees on employment and equality law, employee rights, contract issues and employment disputes.

Kevin has a wealth of experience in advising employees and household name listed companies and charities on all aspects of the employment relationship, in both contentious and non-contentious matters.

The rise in the use of social media and its impact on business is of particular interest and Kevin has quickly established himself as an expert in this field, especially in relation to employment law.

Kevin is a respected speaker on employment law and social media matters. He is a successful facilitator of employment law training sessions, seminars and roundtable events for a wide range of businesses and charities and speaks regularly at Law Society events.

Kevin progressed from writing a light-hearted monthly column for the Solicitors Journal to becoming its first Editor at Large. He is a regular contributor on topical employment issues in the local and national press. He has had features included in the Guardian, Yorkshire Post, Daily Mirror, Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Times as well as professional journals including The Lawyer, Legal Week and the Law Society Gazette. He has also appeared on the BBC news and radio channels, discussing employment law and HR issues.

When it launched h in 2011, Kevin was the co-host of the popular ‘Round my kitchen table’ podcast, hosted by Legal Cheek.

Between 2018 and 2020, Kevin launched and hosted The Hearing podcast, with Thomson Reuters, where he would speak with famous, infamous and interesting lawyers and those associated with the legal profession.
